In honour of this weekend’s upcoming food fest, more commonly known as Thanksgving, I thought I’d round up a selection of desserts for you. These aren’t just any desserts though, they’re desserts in a jar! Cute, easily portable, and single serving sized, this trend is huge right now especially for weddings. You can pretty much adapt this concept to almost any dessert, but here are a few that I think look particularly delicious.

Pie – Who doesn’t love pie? It’s been adapted for just about every dessert trend these days (mini pies, pie pops etc.) so it’s no surprise that it’s been adapted for this one too. This is Green Wedding Shoes‘ version of pie in a jar.

Whiskey Cake – Jack Daniels Flourless Chocolate Cake With Whiskey Spiked Buttercream! This recipe from Babble Blog just sounds amazing, doesn’t it? I don’t even like whiskey and I feel the need to make this cake right now.

Red Velvet Cupcakes – Unlike most of the other recipes here, this red velvet cake in a jar from My Cakies is not actually baked, but rather just assembled in a jar. It’s a great way to salvage/pretty up a cake or cupcakes that didn’t quite turn out as perfectly as you’d hoped.

Brownie Sundaes – These brownie sundaes from A Beautiful Mess look like pure heaven to me. They’d be a perfect addition to an ice cream bar.

Cinnamon Rolls – Ok so these aren’t baked in a jar, but they’re in the same vein and the vintage french tins are simply adorable so I’m including them. Pie Wacket doesn’t provide a recipe for cinnamon rolls in their post, but I think this recipe from Smitten Kitchen would do the trick.

Now the only question left is: which one am I going to make to make first?
