Today’s couple, Matt and Nancy, look like the kind of couple I’d love to be friends with; fun, laid-back and, in the words of their photographer Nikki, super swell! Even more importantly though, these two are so obviously madly in love with each other and the unbridled enthusiasm they display in their wedding photos is nothing short of contagious; I guarantee you will be beaming from ear to ear by the end of this post.
In Nikki’s Words:
Nancy & Matt are super swell people! Nancy is a 2nd grade school teacher so DIY with a touch of awesome was totally the way for her. Their wedding was laid back and fun, with personal touches everywhere. From a picture of Nancy’s late Mother in a locket tucked snug in her bouquet to her super awesome shoes, yummy candy filled mason jars straight out of the 50′s and amazing gifts to her bridesmaids. To me the best part of their whole day was that it all took place within a 10 minute walk from their apartment in their super trendy neighbourhood of Mission in Calgary. The photos took place on the pathway system between their apartment and the Creative Offices of the Alberta Ballet where the ceremony and reception took place. The Ballet’s Creative Office was the perfect spot for their ceremony for so many reasons outside of it’s convenient location though. Nancy and Matt’s colors were purple and cream with woody touches, and conveniently the ballet is sided with cedar shakes and purple trim and cream wood work. It doesn’t get any better than that! It also helped that Nancy’s aunt works for the ballet and was instrumental in organizing the first wedding to ever take place there! The party was amazing, the people were amazing, the wedding was AMAZING!
Love these personalized coin purses as bridesmaid gifts; a nice alternative to jewelry, don’t you think?
Check out Nancy’s victory fist pump! This woman is stoked to be married. These two are just too adorable for words.
