Did you guys catch Krista and Jeremy’s engagement session on Tuesday? Did you love it? if so, you’re in for a real treat today because we’ve got their antique filled Kananaskis wedding to share with you today and trust me when I tell you, it is simply stunning. From the majestic mountain setting to the lovely couple themselves, every detail of this wedding is gorgeous. And did I mention the babies in matching grey suits? They’re pretty darn cute too!
In Krista’s Words:
Jeremy and I have always had an appreciation for the “days gone by” and items that reflect those times. We often talk about how much we would have loved to be born in the good old days. We wanted this wedding to be special and really capture us and the things we love! Jeremy has always loved vintage cars and trucks, old country music and special family heirlooms. I started collecting old bottles and jars when I was 8 and have always loved exploring in my grandparents attic to see what treasures I could find. We incorporated many of these things into the wedding and enjoyed spending time scouring through antique stores, thrift stores and garage sales to add to our collection of antiques.
Krista and Jeremy’s Favourite Wedding Detail:
Our most favourite thing we had at the wedding was the dessert bar! Itʼs something we decided on right away because we both share a sweet tooth and a of love desserts! We searched for the perfect piece of furniture and came a across a beautiful old hutch at a thrift store a couple months before the wedding. It needed a lot of TLC and we spent hours together stripping, sanding and staining it. It was a labour of love but well worth it! It was perfect and made even more special to have restored it together; itʼs now displayed in our living room for us to enjoy for years to come!
Final Thoughts on their Wedding Day:
When we looked back at the end of the night and saw how friends and family came together to enjoy our special day we felt so loved. Everyone tells you to enjoy every minute because it goes by way too fast, and itʼs so true! One of the smartest decisions we made was to splurge on a photographer and a videographer as all the photos and video will help us to relive our special day for the rest of our lives.
