A wedding with amazing food is simply the best kind of wedding, in my humble opinion. So when I saw the photos from Jay and Andrea’s wedding reception dinner at Quatrefoil restaurant, I was immediately sold; these two were instantly awesome in my book and I knew that the rest of their wedding would be too. They kept their wedding simple with an intimate ceremony and a fun backyard bash decorated with a few rustic elegant details, including some sweet handmade touches from the bride’s mother; beautifully captured by the wonderful and talented Nikki Mills it’s sheer, simple, perfection!
In Andrea’s Words:
Jay and I are both pretty easygoing people, but we were determined to have amazing food, entertainment, and a memorable experience for ourselves and our guests. We really took a lot of time in choosing the right people and went big, so to speak, in this regard. In the smaller details, we reflected our easy and casual lifestyles…like the school bus transportation for the bridal party (We are both culinary teachers, but mostly because school buses are super cheap and fun) and the DIY backyard party. My mom slaved away with all of the burlap details and cushions to transform our backyard into a rustic lounge of sorts. We really felt our wedding reflected our style and lives perfectly, sort of simple with a rustic elegance would be how I would describe it.
Doesn’t this look amazing?! I will officially attend any wedding being held at Quatrefoil (just so you know…).
Jay constructed the bar out of concrete just for the wedding reception while Andrea and her mom took care of the centrepieces and the decor.
